EScoutRoom.com has learned that James Louis, a wide receiver out of Delray Beach, Florida, has become the first wide receiver and the tenth player overall to commit to the Buckeyes’ 2010 recruiting class.
Louis is a speedy receiver who has been compared to former Buckeye and current Pittsburgh Steeler Santonio Holmes, in part because of his 5-10, 180-pound frame, but also because he is from the same state as the former first-round NFL draft pick.
The Buckeyes suffered a big hit to their receiving corps with the graduation of Brian Robiskie and Brian Hartline’s early entry into the draft, leaving them without a returning starter and little experience at the position. Louis is expected to compete early in his career for playing time.
