Jaedon LeDee, the 2018 four star forward prospect from the Houston Kinkaid School, made a commitment to the Ohio State basketball team last Tuesday. He becomes the first big recruit of Chris Holtmann's first complete recruiting class. 2018 is seen as Holtmann’s real test, if he can build a quality team with great recruits at Ohio State.

At 230 pounds and six foot eight inches in height, LeDee was deliberating between Texas A&M and Ohio State, when he declared on Monday that he intended to reveal his selection on Tuesday. Considered a Texas A&M lean due to it being in LeDee’s hometown.
LeDee is ranked as the eighth best prospect from Texas, and the country's thirty-first small forward. He is the 115 top prospect nationwide.
He had a strong Spring and Summer playing for Texas Pro AAU, averaging 15 points a game and 8 rebounds.
