Quietly, I was rooting for the Nittany Lions to go
undefeated and earn a birth to the national championship game. Thanks to the Penn
State loss to Iowa that scenario is now squashed and the
Buckeyes are firmly back in the race for the Rose Bowl. It won’t be easy and they need some help from
either Indiana or Michigan State
but the dream is still alive and the Bucks have something to play for. Illinois
is experiencing a disappointing season and are struggling to earn a bowl birth
with a 5-5 record. With the Bucks
playing for the Rose Bowl, the Illini playing for any bowl and the fact OSU has
struggled against the Illini over the last two years will make this game one
not to miss.
