Julian Fleming, the No. 1 receiver in the nation, and the No. 6 generally speaking prospect, reported his promise to Ohio State on Friday morning.

Fleming turns out to be only the fourth five-star wide wideout to join Ohio State since 2000, joining Ted Ginn Jr, Jalin Marshall, and 2019 recruit Garrett Wilson.

A visit to Columbus the few days around March 22 was the one event that put the Buckeyes up for good in this blue-chip fight. Clemson was in the drivers seat preceding that outing and Penn State was viewed as the one to beat from the get-go all the while. He reported his pledge to the Buckeyes on Friday morning in a very emotional video, where he stated, "Ohio State is home."

His enrollment has been a battle, and for a long while many trusted that he would add to Clemson's great class. To such an extent that Fleming was enlisted by the current Clemson recruits and needed to break the news to his friends that he wouldn't go along with them at school.

Practically identical to previous Buckeye Michael Thomas, Julian Fleming effectively isolates. Quickness and physicality make him world class after a catch, plus his ball abilities are remarkable.

The 6-foot-2, 199-pound Fleming is a fabulous mix of size, quality and jumping capacity. Fleming flaunts a 4.63 40-yard dash, 37.4-inch vertical hop and a 23-foot long-jump.

The Catawissa (Pa.) Southern Columbia five-star player unequivocally considered Clemson, Penn State, Georgia and Alabama among others.

Fleming is a prospect who could come in and play immediately, yet in spite of the fact that he is trusting that is the result, he is eager to hang tight and work for a chance.
