Southern California
(USC) falls to the Oregon State (OSU) Beavers
The college football world was turned upside down last night
as the #1 USC Trojans laid an egg against the unranked Oregon State Beavers
27-21. Even with the week off, the
Trojans were not ready for the Beavers as USC committed costly (i.e. dumb) penalties,
executed poor tackling and had unforgivable turnovers allowing Oregon State
of build a 21-0 halftime lead.

Mark Sanchez looked like he was going to get things turned
around when with 4:00 to play in the third the Trojans pulled to within a
touchdown, 21-14. The Beavers stuck to
their game play and rode the back of emerging running back Jacquizz
Rodgers. Rodgers ran for 186 yards on
the night as the USC defense had no answer for the freshman.
